About Me
I am a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of Saskatchewan with 2+ years of engineering experience. I have a passion for all things engineering and keen interests in space, robotics, manufacturing, and machine design. Outside of work you're most likely going to find me enjoying the outdoors either running, cycling, rock climbing or hiking. I enjoy working on personal projects such as woodworking or messing around with arduinos and robotics.
At the University of Saskatchewan, I was an active member of student teams, finding them both a creative outlet and a practical method of gaining real-world design experience. With the U of S Space Team (USST) I was able to work on nearly every aspect of the Mars Rover project. I used tools such as mills, lathes, laser cutters, and 3-D printers to prototype designs quickly. I really enjoyed the URC and CIRC competitions in Utah and Alberta.
I have completed multiple internships and co-op experiences during my university career. I completed two co-op terms at voestalpine Rotec Summo Corp. (vRSC) in Burlington, ON. vRSC is a tier 3 automotive supplier making components for airbags or seats from raw tube stock.
At Doepker Industries Ltd., an agricultural, commercial, and specialty trailer manufacturer in Saskatoon, SK, I worked on the Product Improvement and Product Development teams. I especially enjoyed the company culture of the family-run business and the chance to work on a diversity of projects.
Skills
My skill set is currently tailored towards completing mechanical design, analysis, and project management. I have practical experience of joining, machining, and manufacturing processes.
